Jobs & watch mode

Hand Axom a goal and walk away.

Run a goal

sh
axom run "get the test suite passing"

Axom plans the work, does it step by step with its tools, checks it, and prints a report. Inside a session, /run <goal> does the same. Permissions are automatic for the job; Ctrl-C stops it.

Budgets keep jobs bounded: 12 turns and 30 minutes by default.

sh
axom run "…" --max-turns 30 --max-minutes 60

Keep watch

sh
axom run --watch "tell me when the build on main goes green"

A watch job doesn't finish when the first check is done. It keeps checking at a pace Axom chooses, noting progress, waiting, or alerting you, until the thing it's watching is over. --every 5m sets the default wait when Axom doesn't name one.

Managing jobs

sh
axom jobs # list jobs
axom jobs <id> # show one
axom jobs <id> --log # its turns
axom jobs <id> --stop
axom jobs <id> --resume

Jobs survive a runtime restart. In the browser UI, the Jobs screen does all of this.
